Circular 1 :     Group Rules - 2005

 

The following pages provided must replace the Specific Group Rules (section b) in the Rhythmic Gymnastics Manual, 2002 edition. 

 

In accordance with the changes to the age groups for 2005 – 2007 the following adaptations have been made to our group rules for this period.

 

b) Specific rules

 

Free dance (Novice)

·                    4 girls

·                    Ages: Open

·                    Ability level:

o       Gymnasts only performing in group

o       Gymnasts performing in individual levels 1 – 3

o       1 gymnast may be in level 4

·                    Voluntary routine of 45 – 90 seconds, with elements (difficulty level: equivalent of level 3).

 

Free dance (U11 – intermediate Levels)

·                    4 girls

·                    Ages:

o       3 – 4 girls turning 8 – 11 in year of the competition

o       1 gymnast may be turning 12 in the year of the competition

·                    Ability level:

o       Gymnasts performing only in group

o       Gymnasts performing in individual Levels 4 – 5

o       1  gymnast may be in level 6

·                    Voluntary routine of 45 – 90 seconds, with set elements ( difficulty level

Equivalent of Level 4)

 

Ball

·                    4 girls

·                    Ages: Turning 9 or older in the year of the competition

·                    Ability level:

o       Gymnasts only performing in group

o       Gymnasts performing in individual Levels 4 – 7

o       1 gymnast may be in level 8

·                    Voluntary routine of 105 – 120 seconds, with set elements (difficulty level equivalent of  Level 5)

Hoop

·                    4 Girls

·                    Ages:  Turning 9 or older in the year of the competition

·                    Ability level:

o       Gymnasts performing only in groups

o       Gymnasts performing in individual Level 4 – 9

o       1 gymnast may be in Level 10

·                    Voluntary routine of 134 – 150 seconds, with set elements (difficulty level:

Equivalent of level 7)

 

Elite

·                    5 girls

·                    Ages: turning 11 or older in the year of the competition

·                    Ability level:  Open

·                    Voluntary routine of 135 – 150 seconds, with requirements below FIG Junior Code:

o       4 exchanges A or B or C

o       4 supplementary difficulties consisting of A or B or C elements

·                    Apparatus:  Choice of group.  1 or 2 types of apparatus

 

Junior Olympic

·                    5 girls

·                    Ages: Turning 13 – 15 in the year of the competition

·                    Ability:  Open

·                    Voluntary routine of 135 – 150 seconds, with requirements of as per FIG Code

·                    Apparatus:  2005 – 2007 Please refer to RGTC Circular 2004

·                    Apparatus 2005/2006   Ball

 

Senior Olympic

·                    5 Girls

·                    Ages: Turning 16 or older in the year of the competition

·                    Ability level:  Open

·                    Voluntary routine of 135 – 150 seconds, with requirements as per FIG Code

·                    Apparatus:

o       2005/2006  5 Ribbons  + 3 hoops and 2 pairs of clubs

o       2007/2008  5 Ropes     + 3 hoops and 2 pairs of clubs
